How to send these messages to every guest with their name

Copying a message is the easy part; sending it personally to 300 or 1,000 guests is where people get stuck. A broadcast list only reaches guests who saved your number, and forwarding one by one takes a whole day. Here is how to do it with Rapid Sender, free, from your own WhatsApp.

   Put your guests in an Excel or CSV file with a name column and a phone column. Write names the way you want them to appear, for example "Ramesh Kaka" or "રમેશભાઈ". You can split lists by side, such as family, friends and office.

Etiquette for sending wedding invitations on WhatsApp

• Invite elders and very close family with a phone call or a visit first, then send the card on WhatsApp so they have it saved

• Use respectful forms in the name column, such as "Sharma uncle", "Kaki" or "ji", since that is exactly how the message will greet them

• Send at a decent hour, between 10 am and 8 pm, and not on the day of a death or sad news in the family

• Send the main card four to six weeks before the wedding for outstation guests, and a short reminder two or three days before

• Keep the message short and let the card carry the details; long paragraphs are rarely read

• Send in batches, starting with family, so you can answer the calls and replies that come in
