Contact list cleaner for WhatsApp
Upload your Excel or CSV sheet (or paste numbers) – duplicates, invalid numbers and empty rows are removed and +91 is added where it is missing. Download the clean list or send to it straight away.
A sheet with a number column (any other columns are kept). Read in your browser, never uploaded.
Why clean your contact list before a bulk WhatsApp send?
Most contact sheets are messy. The same customer is there twice because they bought twice; some numbers have +91, some start with 0 and some have neither; a few have nine digits because a digit was missed while typing; and there are blank rows in between. Each of these costs you something when you send.
A duplicate means the same person gets your message twice – which looks careless and is the quickest way to get reported. A number without the right country code can open a chat with a stranger in another country, or fail. An invalid number is simply a failed send that you then have to sort out by hand. Cleaning the list first means every message goes to the right person, once.
This cleaner does it in your browser in a second. Your sheet is not uploaded anywhere. All your other columns – name, city, amount, batch – are kept as they are, so your {{name}} and other details still work when you send.
How to clean your contact list
- 1
Upload your sheet or paste numbers
Choose an Excel (.xlsx, .xls) or CSV file with a number column, or paste numbers one per line. Extra spaces in cells and headings are trimmed like Excel’s TRIM.
- 2
Pick the default country code
India (+91) is chosen for you. It is added only to numbers without a code; numbers with + or 00 keep their own.
- 3
Choose what to fix
Remove duplicates (the first one is kept), add the country code, remove numbers that are too short or too long, and remove empty rows. Untick anything you want to keep.
- 4
Check the summary and preview
See how many rows were removed and why. The table shows the first 50 rows with each problem marked.
- 5
Download or send
Download the clean Excel (with a Clean phone column) and the removed rows with a Reason column – or press “Send to this clean list” to open it in the Rapid Sender bulk sender.
Excel tips for WhatsApp numbers
Remove duplicates in Excel: select the number column, then Data → Remove Duplicates. Or let this tool do it – it also catches 98765 43210 and +91 98765 43210 as the same number.
Fix the +91 format: put all numbers in one column, either as 10 digits or with the full country code. Mixed formats are fine here, as each number is read on its own.
Numbers showing as 9.19877E+11: Excel shows long numbers in scientific notation. Format the column as Text before typing, or just upload it – the cleaner turns them back into full digits.
A leading 0 (09876543210) is the domestic trunk prefix. It is removed before +91 is added, so the number becomes +919876543210.
Keep one contact per row and the column names in the first row – Name, Phone, then anything else you want to use in the message.
Frequently asked questions
Is my contact list uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read and cleaned in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and the list passed to the sender stays in this browser tab.
Which duplicate is kept?
The first one in your sheet. Later rows with the same number are removed, and the removed-rows download says which row each one duplicated.
What counts as an invalid number?
A number with fewer than 7 or more than 15 digits after cleaning, or no number at all. These cannot be WhatsApp numbers, so sending to them would only fail.
How many rows can I clean at once?
Up to 5,000 rows per file. Split bigger sheets into several files.
Does it check whether a number is on WhatsApp?
No, it checks the format only. The Rapid Sender bulk sender tells you which numbers are not on WhatsApp when you send.
Ready to send your message?
Upload your list, write your message and connect your WhatsApp. It is free and takes a few minutes.
