What is Tulsi Vivah?
Tulsi Vivah is the ceremonial wedding of the holy basil plant (Mata Tulsi) to Lord Vishnu in the form of Shaligram or Krishna. It is held in the month of Kartik, on Prabodhini (Dev Uthani) Ekadashi or the next day, Dwadashi – the day Lord Vishnu is believed to wake after four months of rest (Chaturmas).
