Before you send: keep the offer honest

Black Friday is the week people get the most sale messages of the year, so trust is what makes yours stand out. A customer who feels tricked once will mute you for good.

• Only call it a discount if the price really was higher before. "Was $40, now $28" should be true.

• Give a real end date and stick to it. If you extend the sale, say so honestly instead of pretending it's the "last chance" three times.

• Say clearly what is excluded, and whether delivery is free or not.

• Don't invent stock counts ("only 2 left!") unless they're real.

• Send to customers who have bought from you or asked for offers, and tell people they can reply STOP. Then actually remove them.

• Three or four messages over the whole week is plenty. A teaser, the launch, a last-day reminder and a thank-you.

How to send your offer to every customer with their name

Rapid Sender is a free browser tool for WhatsApp that sends one message per customer from your own WhatsApp number, with each name (and offer) filled in from your sheet. Each customer gets a normal one-to-one chat, not a group or a broadcast, and it works even for numbers you haven't saved. There is no scheduling, so press send on the morning the sale starts. The app's screens are in English.

   Export your customer list

   Put names and phone numbers (with country code) in an Excel or CSV file. Add an offer column if different customers get different deals. Up to 5,000 rows per upload.

   Link your WhatsApp

   Open rapid-sender.com. On your phone go to WhatsApp, Linked devices, Link a device, and scan the QR code, or use the pairing code.

   Write the message

   Paste a template from this page. Every column name becomes a placeholder, so {{name}} and {{offer}} are filled in for each customer.
